Reviews:
Daily Telegraph (5 stars): Electrifying entertainment. A brilliantly inventive reinvention of a story that feels scintillatingly new. Right up there with the smartest, sexiest, most stirring shows that Bourne has ever created.
Broadway World (5 stars): Your jaw will drop. There are moments so stunning you might just forget to breathe…. Davies’ approach is touchingly intimate, relying heavily on solos and subtle playing to interpret this work’s sensitive scenes. While Prokofiev wanted a happy ending for the lovers, the final tragedy shown here is all the more poignant for the touching orchestration.
The Guardian (5 stars): Fabulously responsive to the melancholy that underpins Prokofiev’s score, which is brilliantly adapted by Terry Davies.
